人体是艺术表现的一个永恒主题。时下常看到不少课堂作业式的或欲望杂陈的人体绘画作品，其审美品位并不高。近日，我们看到沈天万老师的二组油画人体作品，它们具有强烈的现代感和鲜明的东方精神，凸显出他的艺术追求和个性。

　　2006年，在画布上面对模特儿，沈老师以中国书性写意的笔法，在画布上酣畅淋漓地进行即兴创作。他将纯度很高的互补色彩按人体结构并置在一起，画中形块的冷暖、浓淡、方圆大小；画中线条笔墨的粗细、长短、曲直、润拙都做过主观处理，虽然拉远了作品与现实的距离，却表现出人体的形式美感，和谐悦目。

　　世界永远在变，绘画也不时在变。《易传·系辞下》说：“变通者，趣时者也。”年过八十的沈老师在艺术上仍求真、求变。2009年完成的那组作品变得趋向抽象，大块留白的画面上，黑线在跳跃的色彩中游动，富有节奏感的结构韵律吞噬了肉眼所看到的形和色，点、线、面肌理、痕迹在画布上交辉共鸣。作品取得了强烈的视觉效果，从中体现了沈老师的艺术才情与素养。

　　观赏过沈老师近柒佰张的作品，看到他放在工作室墙根的上百个绷上画布待画的大画框，我们惊叹年逾古稀的沈老师精力过人。我们期待不久的将来沈老师有更多抒写人性自由的作品源源不断注入我们的艺术心田。

　　Seeking for-Change & Truthfulness

　　Appreciate the Figure Painting of Mr. Shen Tian Wan

　　Human figure is an eternal theme in art but most that I came across, from the tutorial classes or painted by those that filled with indiscriminate lust are just merely mediocre. Mr. Shen‘s figure painting, highly filled with contemporary touch and distinct oriental characteristic, has bring out his artistic temperament and pursuit of deeper intrinsic value in art.

　　In 2006, we were working on live model figure painting together. Mr. Shen has improvised the model figure depiction in a Chinese calligraphy way, and then with bright colors, myriads of shapes, strong linear effects and harsher outlines, he reconstituted a human’s figure composition. Though his creation of the paintings is far away from what was seen before us, but has strongly exhibited the beauty of human form, and are very pleasing to eye.

　　The world is changing, and so does the world of art. “A flexible person, is also an interesting, fun player”, an old wisdom quote from Chinese classic ‘Yi Zhuan . Xi Ci Xia’. Mr. Shen, aged over eighty, has never stop to seek for truth and change in his artistic pursuit. His series of figurative abstractions in year 2009, led him to paint some remarkable lines with dynamic energy by leaving the canvas blank in a great measure, the playful abstraction approach paintings have created great visual impact, and once again display his well-considered artistic sensibility.

　　I have seen almost seven-hundred paintings of Mr. Shen, besides, I also found more than hundreds of blank framed canvas, waited to be filled in his studio; we are amazed at his extraordinary energy and unwieldy passion for art in his age. We look forward to seeing more paintings that are infused with wonder and enigma from Mr. Shen.
